CARE GUIDELINES
It is important to note that damaged footwear will not provide the necessary protection you require, and so you need to care for your footwear accordingly. Therefore, if you notice damage, be sure to replace the footwear immediately.
Clean your shoes regularly. Paying attention to your shoes in this manner will help you take notice of any damage.
Remove excess dirt and mud by wiping clean with a damp (NB: damp, not wet) cloth. Dry with a separate, dry cloth, and then leave to dry overnight at room temperature. Do NOT force dry with direct heat as this can distort the leather and/or PU and cause it to crack.
Try to avoid scuffing the upper leather or treading on sharp edges or objects that may cut or tear the sole.
Avoid using harsh chemicals on the footwear as this may cause the materials to breakdown.
For footwear which has a leather upper, regularly apply a good quality wax polish or shoe cream to extend its life.
For footwear which has a Nubuck or suede upper, rub gently with a stiff bristled brush.
Soles should be checked regularly and stones and metal shavings removed from the cleats.
Check the uppers and soles of your shoes regularly for damage. Worn out shoes will not provide the necessary safety and need to be replaced.
Pay attention to the laces. If they become worn, replace immediately. Safety footwear requires a good fit, which depends on the laces being in good condition
