What is hydrolysis?

Safety footwear should be worn regularly to prevent hydrolysis, a process where polyurethane soles degrade if not worn or stored properly.

How do I determine the right shoe size?
It is best to visit a reseller to try on the footwear. If this is not possible, note that our safety footwear generally fits the same as standard shoes and follows UK sizing norms. For some styles, we offer extended sizing curves. Refer to our spec sheets for more details.
What is the lifespan of safety footwear?
Due of the highly divergent nature of the work environment, it is impossible to issue a definite lifespan on safety footwear. The lifespan of safety footwear depends on usage frequency, personal wear habits, and the environment. Regular use is recommended to prevent issues such as hydrolysis in polyurethane soles. Check the shoes regularly for damage, worn out shoes pose a safety risk and would need to be replaced immediately.
